Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to join the Office of the CEO at our profitable biotech company. This is a hands-on role designed to grow with the company, working closely with the CEO on business development initiatives. You will handle lead generation, sales outreach, marketing, and administrative support, while also representing the company at industry events as needed.

This position does not start as a management role, but for the right person with initiative and drive, it can evolve into management opportunities over time. It is also structured to advance with the company, offering future opportunities for bonuses, commissions, and equity participation.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Sales Support
• Research, identify, and qualify biotech and pharma leads.
• Manage inbound sales emails, leads, and initial prospect communication.
• Support the CEO in front-end sales outreach and follow-ups.
Business Development Assistance
• Act as a substitute for the Business Development Officer in introductory pitches when they are unavailable.
• Assist in preparing and refining pitch decks, proposals, and presentations.
• Track, organize, and maintain lead information and CRM data.

Administrative & Operational Support
• Manage scheduling and calendar coordination for business development activities.
• Provide direct support to the CEO in managing leads, communications, and outreach.
• Assist in follow-up communications and pipeline tracking.
Industry Engagement
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
• Manage and post social media-based marketing content.
• Must be available to travel as necessary (up to 20%).

Qualifications
• Advanced degree preferred; Postdoc in Pharma or Biotech strongly encouraged to apply.
• Background or interest in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences business development.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in lead and sales administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client-facing interactions.
• Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Freshsales, or similar).
• AI Agent engineering knowledge or interest is a plus.
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
• Must be based on-site; this is not a remote position.

Compensation & Commitment
• Base Salary: $70,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience.
• Growth-based incentives: as your role expands, so will your compensation — with bonuses, commissions, equity opportunities, and potential management advancement.
• This is not a standard 8–5 desk job. While core office hours are 8–5, success here means embracing the pace of a growing biotech company and putting in the effort when opportunities arise. The right candidate will see this commitment as an investment in their long-term growth and success.
• We offer a competitive compensation package, including health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) plan with matching; performance-based bonuses; and stock option opportunities. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Why Join Us
• Join a profitable, innovation-driven biotech company reinventing biologics discovery.
• Work directly with the CEO in a role focused on hands-on business development support.
• The position begins as non-management but is designed to grow with you — with expanded responsibilities, incentives, equity, and the potential to advance into management.
• Contribute to breakthrough therapeutics powered by our GigaAssay® platform.
